U cant fix it. U can only improve it. I spent so long doing excersizes relentlessly to fix it and it just slightly reduced the gap but professional told me it will never go back to normal and will always have a gap. I ultimately eventually got surgery to repair it and couldnt be happier!
Very good video. Do you think it's possible to do it one-handed with a lighter kettlebell? It would be interesting to demonstrate if this is possible for unilateral work and therefore 100% per arm. Because we know that working with 2 arms means that you always involuntarily put more force on the stronger arm.
Thank you for keeping the video short. Basically checks out with what I’ve been doing with my PT. I’ve had shoulder impingement and nearly every exercise we do is to squeeze the shoulder blades and one up the chest in daily life sort of speak
Before my injury I was half-assing pull-ups with slightly bent elbows and it was just fine! But then I started going all the way down and I guess I didn’t do it correctly because it fucked my subacromial space

Hi, can i do these exercises. I am 4 months pp. I had stitches episotomy and pls suggest what is the right time to start the gym for weight loss after normal delivery because i have gained 30 kgs during pregnancy
So the solution to this issue is to be permanently flexing your abdominal muscles for the remainder of your life?? Correct me if I’m wrong, ladies, but that sounds like it’s way worse than a minor aesthetic difference.

I'm a man recently diagnosed with diastasis recti after originally thinking I had a hernia. I have avoided doing crunches or lifting heavy weights now for several years because of it, as I would have thought that could make it much worse. However, these exercises where you increase your self-awareness of that area (in training yourself to avoid the doming/protusion) seems like an encouraging and safe solution that I think will hopefully work. So I'll give it a try. Thanks. 👍

I don't have DR, but I can't get my deep core muscles to fire and I have weak posture. I've always had a lower belly "pooch" even though I barely weighed 95lbs all through high school. I have a very deep arch in my low back and an anterior tilt. Now I'm in my 40s...worried I'm stuck this way. Changing your posture halfway through life is nearly impossible. I really wish a TENS unit could help reach those deep core muscles, but when I "brace" or engage my core, I push OUTWARD instead of pulling inward/upward. I'm all messed up.

It creates a shearing movement which can worsen it, yes. With diastasis get professional help.
So glad I found this video! I have been struggling with pronounced abdominal distension for a few years. As a physique athlete it's really frustrating to have a shredded physique, but a bulging abdomen. This gives me hope of fixing the issue

Even the starting position is impossible for me. If there isn't a square angled surface under my back (for sitting), then my core locks itself, lungs included. It's really this connection between the core area and the lungs that is totally unresponsive to me. As a pro French Horn player, I've only learned to active the diaphragm for my breathing technique; but only focusing on that one muscle made all the other core muscles not just irrelevant, but depleted, atrophied. I'm literally totally out of options to try to re-ignite those anorexic muscles.
